Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Eatcircle uses cookies and similar storage mechanisms to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the site is used.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Session and authentication cookies (JWT stored as an HttpOnly cookie for the web app). These are required for the site to function. You cannot opt out of these while using the service.
Preference
We store your most recent discover location and display preferences in localStorage (not a cookie) so the map doesn't reset on each visit.
Analytics
We use anonymous analytics (no third-party advertising trackers). Analytics help us understand which pages get traffic and what breaks. No personal data is sold or shared with advertisers. We do not currently use Google Analytics.
Third-party services
Stripe (payment processing) sets its own cookies when you interact with a Stripe payment element. These are governed by Stripe's privacy policy. Messaging is built in-house and sets no third-party cookies. We do not embed social media trackers or advertising pixels.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies using your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in. Most browsers also offer an “incognito” or “private” mode that discards all cookies when closed.
